Jaguar pulls one over BMW and Mercedes

The UK’s best selling automotive magazine “Top Gear” has named the new Jaguar XJ as the “Luxury Car of the Year 2010″, the British manufacturer beat off stiff competition from the German luxury car makers BMW, Mercedes and Audi.

Since Jaguar sell to Indian TATA Motors we have been hoping for rejuvenation in Jaguar, and boy have they delivered! Top Gear’s editor put it quite nicely when he described the XJ as a “Blast from the future, rarely has a new car slackened so many jaws.”

Jaguar released the all new XJ in May of this year with renewed confidence and expectation; the XJ has been extremely well received by customers and media alike, it is fast becoming a multi-awarding winning model for Jaguar. The jaw dropping XJ has already scooped the Scottish Luxury Car of the Year and What Car? Luxury Green Car of the Year accolades.

The Jaguar XJ is the most efficient luxury car in its class, its lightweight aluminium architecture has helped it achieve this efficiency and attain 29% of the segment in only 6 months of being on sale.

Rival Between Mercedes And BMW

There are many contrasting kinds of luxury vehicles that we can choose from. A few are going to be the bigger cars that we love so much and that give us the ability to command the roads. Others will have the must needed navigational system or rear back up camera that gives us the ability to back out without having to twist our necks so much.

There will always be rivals and this exists in the automaker industry also. One of the strongest luxury car rivals that you will ever see is between BMW and Mercedes. These cars run about the same amount of money and have a few similar features. They also make cars of varying sizes.

So which one do you prefer? Personally I have always loved the Mercedes. When I drive by a BMW on the road I don’t usually recognize what it is. It appears just like any other common car driving around and there is nothing brilliant on the exterior of it that sets it apart.

It has also ceased to be unusual when almost everybody I know owns one.

The Mercedes is a very unique and distinct vehicle. When I drive by it on the road I instantly recognize what it is. The headlights and shining exterior says volumes and it is hard not to gaze as you drive by it. It is no wonder that it is more expensive and not many individuals can get their hands on one of these.

Both of these vehicles have an interior that is worth every penny that you pay for it. They are built with some of the most expensive and most comfortable fabrics. They will also have many of the most innovative technology. Even the Mercedes cannot beat the inside of the BMW.
